On screen Andrew has produced the shorts AFTER-SCHOOL SPECIAL (written by Neil LaBute; starring Sarah Paulson and Wes Bentley) and I HAVE IT (starring Larisa Oleynik and Devon Gummersall); the music videos TIL MY VOICE IS GONE (for indie rock band The Old Ceremony, starring multiple Emmy and Golden Globe winner Ed Asner; numerous festival official selections and $10,000 Music/Fashion Category Winner at the inaugural LG Life’s Good FilmFest) and YOU’RE SO VAIN (re-recording by Carly Simon of her classic rock song, starring Ethan Embry and Katie Lowes); the pilot presentation LONE (writer/director Jon Huertas). Up next Andrew is producing the feature film I HAVE IT (Jim Fall directing), and has a made-for-TV movie and reality show in active development. Andrew founded The 4th Wall: Geffen Playhouse Arts Alliance, a theater initiative in partnership with the world-renown theater. On stage at the Geffen, Andrew produced the Los Angeles premiere of 110 STORIES (starring Katharine McPhee, John Hawkes, Ed Asner, Sharon Lawrence, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, and others). Other stage credits including producing the Los Angeles premiere of Neil LaBute’s THE MERCY SEAT at [Inside] the Ford alongside VS. Theatre Company and the West Coast premiere of Edward Anthony’s WISH I HAD A SYLVIA PLATH at The Lounge Theatre alongside ROGUE MACHINE. In addition to working in the entertainment industry, Andrew is an active volunteer and mentor through the I HAVE A DREAM Foundation and on the steering committee for the Los Angeles Public Library’s Young Literati.

Andrea Adams has been involved with theater for as long as she can remember. From elementary school through middle school, she was a player in a Denver based traveling improv and skit based children’s theater show called Kidskits. She was actively involved in high school theater as well as the local community theater, playing Hermia in a local college’s production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM and various roles in a Fox Theater production of CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, among other productions.
Then in her junior year of high school, Andrea was given the chance to develop and then fully run four high school production courses. She still acted, but the demands of an executive producer were very high. She went on to study production at Ithaca College, while still taking theater courses and acting in short films wherever possible. As a producer, Andrea was involved in several award winning television shows and films, the last of which, a festival bound short film entitled Chalk Outlines, is wrapping up post production this fall. After graduation, she consulted and helped start the full-service production company Moving Box Studios in Ithaca, NY.
Andrea moved to Los Angeles right in time for the writer’s strike, but surviving that, she has worked at companies including Anonymous Content, William Morris Agency, the merged entity William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, Team Todd, and The Mark Gordon Company in film development. During her time at Team Todd, she received credits in Disney’s ALICE IN WONDERLAND and THE ROMANTICS, directed by Galt Niederhoffer.
She is also very active in the independent community, being involved in many aspects of several different productions. These include a music video for the band Ocelot Robot, the music video for Delphic’s song “Doubt”, a short branded content film called “Rift” for L Studios and the short film Chance of Showers which is traveling the festival circuit. Currently Andrea is working in development at Davis Entertainment and is in post on a feature length documentary, MY AMITYVILLE HORROR http://www.amityvillemovie.com.
It was during her time at William Morris that she met Andrew Carlberg, who mentioned his desire to build a group focused on expanding young Hollywood participation in the thriving Los Angeles theatre community. Having had little time for theatrical based pursuits other than the occasional show here and there, Andrea jumped at the chance. She has been involved with the 4th Wall at the Geffen Playhouse since the group’s inception and is excited for the opportunity to help others learn to love live theater as much as she does.
Adam Cooper is an attorney in the Century City office of O’Melveny & Myers LLP, specializing in a broad mix of entertainment, media, intellectual property and general corporate matters. Originally from New Jersey, Adam moved to Los Angeles in 2009 after graduating with a joint law degree from Duke University and masters degree in public administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He is excited to continue his lifelong interest and involvement in theater through his work with the 4th Wall and the Geffen Playhouse.

Ariana Mufson, a Boston native and honors graduate in English and Film Studies at Wesleyan University, has worked in film and television development for the last ten years in Boston, London and Los Angeles. She is a winner of the Akiva Goldsman prize in screenwriting at Wesleyan University and was the Ford Fellowship recipient in Wesleyan’s Writing Program in 2003. At Wesleyan, she directed the play PRIVATE EYES by Steven Dietz, and stage managed several shows including GLENGARY GLEN ROSS by David Mamet and DEFYING GRAVITY by Jane Anderson. After moving to Los Angeles, Mufson got her start in casting, where she helped cast USA’s hit show Psych and FOX pilots starring Melissa Joan Hart and Brooke Shields. She also served as a reader for many film and television production companies including the 2005 Sundance Screenwriting Labs and Initial Entertainment Group. Independently, Mufson has associate produced the AFI Thesis Film PAWN, directed and written by Jeremiah Friedman (Family Getaway, The Bodyguard remake). She also produced the zombie short ALICE JACOBS IS DEAD, which won best horror film at the San Diego Comic Con Film Festival 2009. From 2004-2009, she reviewed theater for Curtainup.com, and became an A&E contributor for www.theyippie.com in 2010. After working in development for the producer Michael Ohoven (Capote) and Russell Simmons’ television company Simmons/Lathan Media Group she joined Cindy Cowan Entertainment in 2011 as a Creative Executive for the film, television and music production company.

The newest member to the 4th Wall, Nina Varano is a freelance cinematographer/actor/writer, originally from upstate New York. She studied cinema and photography at Ithaca College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and received the Cinema Production Award from the faculty. After working in commercial production in New York and Los Angeles, she moved to Los Angeles permanently where she received her MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute.
Nina studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and, as a former member of both the Ti-Ahwaga Players and the Vagabond Players, has performed in numerous plays, including Edward Albee’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”, Neil Simon’s “Rumors”, and Hamilton Deane’s “Dracula”.
